Canadian Children's Literature at the National Library of Canada

The Canadian Children's Literature provides information about Canadian books for children and young adults to scholars, teachers, librarians, parents, authors, illustrators, booksellers, publishers and children's literature enthusiasts.

The reference service is based on:

  • a collection of 30 000 Canadian books, dating from the 19th century, in English, French and other languages;
  • a complementary collection of professional literature and reference material; and
  • literary manuscripts and original illustrations of Canadian authors and illustrators such as Ginette Anfousse, Dayal Kaur Khalsa, Janet Lunn, and Gilles Tibo.
