Pépin, Pépita, Pistachou and Pistachette, a family of penguins, live happily in the Far North. But a strange adventure is in store for Pépin: during a fishing expedition, the small island of ice on which he is standing breaks off from the main floe and floats all the way to the land of giraffes! There he meets Gilda the giraffe, Chambellan the camel, Farouka the ant and Sumo the baby mouse. Each of these new friends will help Pépin find his way back home. The illustrations in this large book, which span almost two pages each, complement the text beautifully.
